Bye-elections to the Council of States from various States.

                    There are 4 casual vacancies in the Council of States from various States.  The details are given as below:-

The vacancy of Dr. N. Janardhana Reddy from Andhra Pradesh occurred in the State of undivided Andhra Pradesh on 9^th May, 2014 by reason of his death. After bifurcation of the undivided Andhra Pradesh into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in terms of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act-2014, the said seat has been allocated to Adhra Pradesh(new) as per the Notification No. RS. 73/2014-T, dated 30^th May, 2014 issued by the Secretariat of Rajya Sabha.

                    The Commission has decided to hold bye-elections to fill up the 4 vacancies mentioned above, in accordance with the following schedule: -
